国际关系理论与思想史研究中心是由华东师范大学历史系思想史博士点与原亚欧研究中心、俄罗斯研究中心的相关专家、教授整合而成，隶属于华东师范大学国际关系与地区发展研究院。本中心是国内专门以国际关系理论和思想史为研究重点的研究中心，同时也是培养硕士、博士研究生等后备学术力量的人才培养基地。

本中心重视整合多学科的学术资源，在思想史研究的支撑下，努力将思想史研究与国际关系理论研究相结合，探询国际体系的发展与演变。其研究重点为：1、政治思想史中的国际关系理论；2、国际体系的演变及其思想基础；3、当代国际关系理论的批判与反思。

本中心注重展开国内外的学术交流与合作，举办相关学术研讨会，邀请国内外知名学者前来讲学，并派出人员赴国外进行访学和进行合作研究。同时，翻译出版国外一流学者的国际关系理论和思想史学术论著。

中国法国史研究会秘书长、英国曼彻斯特大学访问学者李宏图教授担任本中心主任。本中心与日内瓦高级国际研究院合作共建。

International Relations Theory and Ideology Studies Center

Subjected to International Relations and Regional Development Studies Institute, the International Relations Theory and Ideology Research Center is a joint consortium composed of experts and professors the Doctorate Training Program in Ideological History Studies of East China Normal University’s History Department, the original Asian-European Studies Center and Russian Studies Center. It is a research center in China specializing in international relations theory and ideology history, and a base to train Master’s degree and doctorate candidates.

The Center emphasizes on integration of multi-disciplinary academic resources. With the support of our ideology research stronghold, the Center strives to combine studies in ideology history with international relation theory in order to explore the development and evolution of the international system. Research focuses include:

1. International relations theory in the history of political ideologies; 2. The evolution and ideological bases of the international system; 3. Criticism and reflections on current theories of international relations.

The center pays special attention to carry out academic exchanges and cooperation, with relevant academic symposiums, and lecturing visits of renowned Chinese and overseas scholars. The Center regularly sends personnel overseas for academic visits and cooperative research. The Center also translates and publishes international relations theory and ideology history by first-rate international scholars.

Professor Li Hongtu, Secretary-General of the Association of Studies in French History and visiting scholar to the University of Manchester, UK is the Director of the Center, which is a joint program in conjunction with Geneva’s Institut Universitaire de Hautes Études.
