地缘政治与能源经济研究所简介

地缘政治与能源经济研究所是华东师范大学国际关系和地区发展研究院的一个专门从事地缘政治和能源经济应用研究的机构,也是目前国内第一家把地缘政治与全球能源问题相联系进行研究的机构。

本研究所的基本任务是致力于开展地缘政治与能源经济相关的多学科研究,增进对全球和中国所面临的挑战的深入理解;根据实际应用部门的要求,开展相应的基础研究和专题调研;对国内外能源领域的若干重大问题开展高层研讨与交流,并侧重于培养这一领域的高级专门人才。

本所目前的重点研究领域是:(1)前苏联地区的能源地缘政治;(2)美国和欧洲的能源地缘政治;(3)其他若干重点地区和国家石油地缘政治问题研究,包括中国与中东地区石油交叉投资、东北亚地区石油贸易和能源、经济与环境保护的区域合作等。

本研究所旨在开展系列的学术交流和国内外合作。自本所成立起,举办了中俄关系与能源问题研讨会、“西蒙斯讲座”,与美国贝克研究所的合作研讨会以及拟议中的其它交流项目。

徐小杰担任地缘政治与能源经济研究所的首席教授,美国莱斯大学贝克研究所能源论坛客座研究员和休斯顿大学能源研究所荣誉研究员。他先后撰写了《石油巨龙的崛起—对中国和世界意味着什么》(欧洲出版社,2002年英文版)、《新世纪油气地缘政治》(社会科学出版社,1998年中文版)和其它大量的中英文论文和演讲。徐小杰教授具有22年油气领域的工作经验和广泛的海外研究与交流经验,致力于地缘政治与能源经济研究与发展工作。

本所举办有《地缘政治与能源经济》通讯,以供国内外学术交流之用。

 

Institute of Geopolitics & Economics of Energy

 

Institute of Geopolitics and Economics of Energy is an applied research body affiliated to the School of International Relations and Areas Studies at East China Normal University in Shanghai. Currently, the Institute is the first one of its kind in China to promote geopolitical and economic researches and exchanges on strategic energy issues worldwide.

 

The Institute is dedicated to promote a high level education on geopolitics and economics of energy for a deep and better understandings of the challenges facing the world and the nation; conduct an applied studies on demand; contribute to senior professional enhancement.

 

Currently, the Institute focuses on the following major research projects: (1) geopolitics of energy in FSU; (2) geopolitics of energy in America and Europe; (3) on oil cross investment between China and the Middle East, oil trading system in Northeast Asia, and regional cooperation for 3E (Energy, Environment, Economic)development. Since its establishments, the Institute has organized several academic activities including Sino-Russian energy cooperation, 2nd Simmons Speech and Mini-workshop with James Baker Institute delegation.

 

Xiaojie Xu is the chief professor of the Institute, the- Author of the English book Petro-Dragon"s Rise: What It Means for China and the World (The European Press, 2002) and Chinese book Geopolitics of Oil and Gas in the New Century, a closer look at Challenges facing China (Social Sciences Publishing House, 1998) and other several Chinese books. He is also an honorary Research Fellow with Energy Institute at University Houston and a Participating Fellow at Energy Forum at James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy at Rice University, Houston. Xu will contribute to the Institute based on his 22 years experiences in the energy sector and broad studies and exchanges around the world.

The Institute edits and distributes a Geopolitics and Economics of Energy Studies Bulletin circulated among Chinese and overseas colleagues.
